Tiffany McKenzie specializes in the division of retirement assets in connection with divorce through the preparation of Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs), involving:
- Private retirement assets held in qualified retirement plans (including 401(k), 457 and pension plans) and in non-qualified retirement plans;
- Retirement assets held in 403(b) plans;
- Federal Government retirement assets under the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS), Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS), and other Federal retirement programs;
- State and local government sponsored retirement assets;
- Railroad retirement assets, including the division of benefits covered by the Railroad Retirement Act;
- Military retirement assets; and
- Executive compensation assets.
Tiffany joined Gilbert Harrell in 2023 as an associate in the firm’s Trusts and Estates practice group. Previously, Tiffany practiced in Atlanta, focusing on probate and estate planning, residential real estate, and civil litigation matters.
A native of Douglasville, Georgia, she graduated cum laude with a degree in Mass Communications and minor in Political Science from the University of West Georgia in 2012, and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2016.
Tiffany also serves as a Guardian ad litem, and she is on the Board of Trustees of the Marshes of Glynn Libraries.
